2020 has been a year like no other, and one that we never could have predicted this time last year.
Like most British Columbians, at PTE, we’ve been doing our best to adapt to a constantly evolving situation. We’ve been working remotely, staying close to home, and trying to stay connected through phone calls, text messages, emails and of course tools like Slack, Zoom and Teams.
We’ve also made a pretty big change to our business; one that we are pretty excited about. In the fall, we became the Haisla Nation’s development partner on the Cedar LNG Project in Kitimat. As our CEO Zack Steele said at the time, “We are humbled and honoured to partner with the Haisla Nation on this historic project.” This means that through our partnership, we have an opportunity to progress the Cedar LNG Project, and create jobs, contracting and other economic opportunities for the Haisla Nation and the region. You can learn more about the partnership and the project, by visiting the Haisla Nation’s Cedar LNG partner announcement.
The holiday season also has us thinking about the people, companies, and organizations that have helped to shape our business. COVID-19 means we can’t show our appreciation in person by hosting our annual holiday gatherings. Instead, we’ve made a donation to the Tamitik Status of Women (TSW). TSW is a non-profit society in Kitimat that provides programs and services for individuals and families who are being affected by social issues. If you are interested, you can learn more about their programs and services on their website.
In the meantime, we wish you a holiday season filled with family and friends, remote and distanced as they may be … and a happy, healthy, and safe new year.
As for 2021 – it can’t come soon enough!
